Selling your business is probably the biggest financial decision of your life.

You deserve someone who’s been on both sides of the table. The desire to build and create—the entrepreneurial mindset—is a legacy in my family.

Back in the 1850s, my ancestors emigrated from London and Dublin and settled in what is now Newport Beach, California, to be part of California’s rapid expansion.

I grew up where starting a business was just normal life, so I launched my first company in 1993 when I was 14. My M&A career started on the other side. In 2000, I began as a buyer of companies.

I learned exactly what makes a business truly valuable—a perspective I now use every day to get maximum value for my sellers.

In 2017, a friend said something that changed everything: ā€œYou love helping people, and you’re great at making deals happen—you should be the one selling companies.ā€ I listened.

I found a mentor who had closed over 1,000 deals in nationwide, and I hit the ground running with 15 businesses for sale in my first month.

Today, I’m with one of the top national business advisory firms, based in beautiful San Diego. I work remotely, serving the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond.

Here’s what drives me: nationally, only about 12% of listed businesses actually sell. For most owners, their business is their biggest, most important asset. When a sale fails, it’s not just disappointing—it can delay retirement, block the next chapter, and create years of uncertainty.

When I’m not working on deals, I’m usually enjoying California—hiking, visiting places like the San Francisco Symphony and Yosemite—or diving into stock options and flipping homes for fun.
